Projective-capacitive touch screens (Pcap)
Touch systems or touch screens have been successfully used as standard input technology for industrial and medical technology for years. Due to the increasing spread of smartphones and tablet PCs in the consumer sector, multi-touch (projective-capacitive touchscreens) have won the race as the preferred technology. This touchscreen technology offers the following advantages and design options:
Cover glass for touch systems
Anti-reflective (matt or optical interference), hardened (thermal or chemical), printed (organic or ceramic screen printing or digital printing), individual design by the customer (recesses, holes, curves), edge processing (hem, bevel, C-bevel)
Other cover materials: Laminated foils, polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA or Plexiglas), …
Standard touch sensors: Various manufacturers based on ITO, nanosilver or copper
Customer-specific touch sensors: Individual designs in terms of technology, dimensions, FPC outlet (tail), …
Sizes: All standard sizes available at short notice (e.g. 4.3 “, 5.7”, 7.0 “, 8.4”, 10.4 “, 12.1”, 15.0 “, 15.6”, 18, 5 “, 19.0”, 21.5 “, 24.0”, 27.0 “and 32.0”)
Controller: The controller is tailored to the specific requirements and the respective touch sensor
In combination with a carrier plate, your touch system becomes a directly integrated assembly.
Analog-resistive touch screens
There are also the tried and tested analog resistive touchscreens with the following design options:
Front foils: fully laminated, screen printing or digital printing possible, heavily / slightly matt or glossy, buttons with / without embossing, …
Standard touch sensors: Various manufacturers with 4-wire technology or 5-wire technology
Customer-specific touch sensors: Individual designs with regard to dimensions, FPC outlet (tail), …
Sizes: All standard sizes available at short notice (e.g. 4.3 “, 5.7”, 7.0 “, 8.4”, 10.4 “, 12.1”, 15.0 “, 15.6”, 18, 5 “, 19.0” and 21.5 “)
Controller: Diverse combination options
In combination with a carrier plate, your touch system becomes a directly integrated assembly.
The selection of the correct touch configuration must be coordinated in advance with the area of application and its requirements. Here we are happy to support you with tips and a wide variety of options.
