3D printing is becoming increasingly important in industrial manufacturing, especially for smaller quantities of 1–1,000, as can be read on Wikipedia.

Additive manufacturing (3D printing) has been used for more than thirty years in prototype construction, i.e. in the tool-free production of components as one-offs or in small series. Today, the technology has reached series production maturity – in areas such as healthcare, consumer goods, aerospace technology and the automotive industry.
In healthcare, especially in medical technology, additive manufacturing is already standard practice – particularly where customised products are manufactured in small sizes: hearing aids, dentures and implants. To put it bluntly, additive manufacturing makes one-off products ready for series production.

At EP Electronic Print, we have been working with plastic-based 3D printing for several years. Here, we use materials such as PET, PMMAABS.
In addition to prototype construction, more and more components are now being incorporated into series production.

In this specific example, we are printing a white “support frame” for attaching other components and increasing internal stability.

Benefits for the customer:

  • rapid prototyping and high flexibility
  • cost-effective in prototype construction and series production

Advantages for the customer We can also find a solution for your product, so please contact us.

For more than 30 years, EP has been developing and manufacturing customised HMIs as well as operating and input systems, such as glass touchscreens and membrane keyboards, based on a wide variety of technologies. Our high level of vertical integration allows us to implement customer-specific HMI projects competently and quickly. At the same time, we can guarantee high quality and delivery reliability in production.
Our core areas of application are mechanical engineering, automation technology and medical technology.
