Air gap bonding
Thanks to our many years of expertise and the numerous customer-specific projects we have completed in the industrial, medical and mechanical engineering bonding sectors, we are able to offer a range of different processes for small, medium and large quantities at competitive prices.

During bonding, individual components such as touch sensors and displays are glued together. This creates a very stable, high-quality HMI input system that is specifically tailored to your requirements and area of application.
We offer three standard bonding options:
Today, we would like to focus on air gap bonding.
Air-Gap-Bonding
In this process, the display and the touch sensor are connected to each other using double-sided adhesive tape. The air gap between them is retained. This process is relatively simple and quick to carry out. Bonding in a clean room, clean area or flow box prevents dust or dirt particles from becoming trapped in the air layer. In addition, the air gap bonding process allows temperature interactions to be well compensated. However, this is offset by the fact that when light hits the surface, reflections occur on the top and bottom sides of the individual components, which can impair the visual impression of the display and reduce brightness. This leads to additional reflection and impaired readability.

We would be happy to check whether your project is suitable for this. Contact us, we will be happy to advise you. Thanks to our many years of experience with customer-specific projects, we are confident that we will find a solution for you too.
